Prince Harry’s relationship with his father, King Charles, is on the rocks. The royal family feud is nothing new in the headlines. However, it was recently reported that things have gone from bad to worse. Charles is allegedly refusing to take Harry’s phone calls. Now, the monarch’s youngest son has seemingly ditched him in favor of a fatherly relationship. Harry’s grown close to Hollywood heavy-hitter David Foster, who is said to have become like a dad to him.
The Times of London reports that as Prince Harry approaches his 40th birthday, he’s made new, deep connections outside of the royal family. Despite his feud with brother Prince William and father King Charles, he’s found solace in his relationship with music icon, David Foster.
Foster and his wife, singer/actress Katherine McPhee, reportedly live in the same Montecito neighborhood as Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. The couples have struck up a friendship, which has moved to a deep level for the royal. According to The New York Post, McPhee previously described their relationship as “like father and son.”

“My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They’re so cute,” McPhee said.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry’s relationship with David Foster may be a blow to King Charles. The Mirror reports that the head of the royal family still has faith that his relationship with his youngest son can be mended. However, there is a lot of work to be done.
“Charles misses his son. He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons—regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life. Harry will always be Charles’s much-loved son,” an insider tells the outlet. “He has faith that Harry could return. He misses the bond they once had, and the door will always remain open to him and his family. He does not want years of discord and disharmony clouding his reign.”
It seems that Prince Harry has made the best of his situation by growing close to David Foster. Meanwhile, there is always the chance that he and King Charles can put their differences aside and rebuild their own relationship as well.
