Prince Harry isn’t staying silent on the royal family feud or the tension between him and his father, King Charles. The Duke of Sussex recently sat down for an interview and got very candid about the state of his famous family, revealing that his father holds all the power to end the rift and set things right. However, pointing the finger at Charles, Harry says that his dad won’t even speak to him at the moment.
In an interview with BBC News, Prince Harry admitted that he’s unsure of how much time King Charles may have left following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis last year. Unfortunately, he claims that he won’t be bringing his children, Archie and Lilibet, or his wife, Meghan Markle, back to the UK to visit due to the security issues he’s been facing. However, he did claim that Charles could put an end to the rift if he wanted to do so.
Prince Harry Publicly Calls Out King Charles For Royal Rift
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry told the outlet on Friday. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.” Harry added that it “would be nice to reconcile” but that Charles “won’t speak” to him.
“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” Harry continued. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”
Last month, Prince Harry was back in the UK to appear in court as he continues his fight to get more security for himself and his family while in the country. Despite being very near his father, he and King Charles didn’t meet up for a visit.
Sources now tell Us Weekly that the legal battle has only driven more of a wedge between the King and his youngest son. Harry allegedly blames Charles for not stepping in to help him. However, the King claims his hands are tied. It’s been “terrible for Harry’s relationship with Charles,” the insider dished.
Unfortunately, it appears that Prince Harry’s feud with the royal family may never be resolved. Of course, speaking out publicly against King Charles likely won’t help matters. However, it appears that the Duke of Sussex may believe he has no other choice. As for Charles, Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, they’re staying quiet on the drama for now.
