These days, it’s not uncommon for celebrities to become a little bit “delulu” with how much fame and influence they possess, but Prince Harry‘s wife, Meghan Markle, is on another level. In fact, celebrity biographer Tom Bower has gone on to state in his book, The House of Beckham, that Markle lives in another echelon of delusion. In her “celebrity world,” she ranks people “depending on wealth and fame.”
Per Express, Bower claims that, in the past, “Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria [Beckham] in the social pecking order.” What the arrogant to-be Duchess didn’t expect was that David and Victoria Beckham were leagues of her in terms of money and property.
“She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself. They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess.”

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams tells The Sun that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are incomparable to the Beckhams. David and Victoria are “international superstars” with millions of supporters across the globe; the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are a farce compared to them. In fact, one could say that Sussexes are leaning more toward the opposite of being universally loved. It’s not hard to see that the public looks at the ex-royals with contempt, disappointment, and even disgust, as Markle has been contemptibly coined with nicknames like “Megamonster” or “Meg-rat.”
Celebrity or not, Meghan Markle’s life is probably not easy when she’s constantly being denounced so harshly. Still, as the orchestrator behind the snubbing drama with the Beckhams at the 2018 Invictus Games, Markle should expect her reputation to spiral downward. Not to mention, Meghan also attempted to steal the spotlight from Kate Middleton’s celebrated appearance at this year’s Trooping the Colour with doggy biscuits and jams.
