It’s certainly no secret that Prince William and his younger brother, Prince Harry, are at odds. The royal heirs have seemingly been at each other’s throats since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, opted to leave the firm in 2020. Since that time, things have reportedly only gone from bad to worse, and while King Charles may have his own issues when it comes to the feud, it appears that William is calling the shots when it comes to Harry’s involvement with the royal family.
Sources tell Rob Shuter that Prince William has made a bitter and surprising decision when it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s two children, Archie and Lilibet. It seems that the Prince of Wales is the person who solely decided that the two Sussex children will not have a future in the royal family.
Multiple sources are allegedly claiming that it was Will’s decision to keep the kids away from royal life, and that Charles, Kate, and the rest of the family had no say in it.
Prince William Doesn’t Want Prince Harry’s Kids In The Royal Family Fold
“This was 100% William’s call,” a senior royal aide told Shuter. “Kate expressed concern, especially for the children, but William wouldn’t budge. He believes this is the only way to protect the crown. When he becomes king, Archie and Lilibet won’t have roles, titles, or royal responsibilities,” the insider continued. “He doesn’t want any lingering ties to the Sussexes.”
William, who was once thick as thieves with his younger brother, is said to still have a bad taste in his mouth about Harry’s tell-all memoir, Spare. In addition, Harry and Meghan’s interviews with Oprah and other outlets, where they’ve painted the royals in a negative light, have seemingly led to the decision to keep all of the Sussexes at bay.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton allegedly doesn’t agree with her husband’s thoughts on the situation. She reportedly believes Archie and Lilibet are innocent in the royal feud. However, the future king doesn’t want any drama when he takes the throne.
“It’s not about fairness. It’s about control,” one insider declared. “William is shaping the monarchy his way — no Hollywood royals, no second chances. This is William’s monarchy, and Archie and Lilibet are out.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were said to have been blindsided by Prince William’s decision. They wanted their children to have the option to participate in royal life if they chose to do so. However, now that decision has reportedly been made for them.
