Princess Beatrice has stepped up for The Royal Family in recent months. With King Charles and Kate Middleton’s ongoing health crises, she and her sister Eugenie have been a huge help to their cousin Prince William. In the midst of Charles and Kate’s absence, the York sisters have attended royal engagements with William. Although their appearances with William sparked rumors of distancing themselves from Prince Harry, it’s the opposite. In fact, many believe Beatrice could help end another royal crisis.
Princess Beatrice is Maintaining Peace With Prince Harry and the Family
Prince Harry and the Royal Family feud has forced many relatives to choose sides. While many have sided with the royals, Beatrice and Eugenie have remained neutral in the ongoing rift.
After Harry and Meghan Markle moved to California, the sisters remained in contact with their cousin. The princesses are hopeful that one day both sides can put their differences aside and reconcile.
According to Grant Harrold, Charles’ former butler, the eldest York sister could play a pivotal role in making that happen. “Beatrice could act as a peacemaker for Harry, William, and Charles,” Harrold tells Express. “She would be someone to initiate peace in the family. She’s close to William and Harry, as well as the King – and they trust her.”
While Princess Beatrice seems the perfect person for the role, Harrold warns it won’t be easy.
It would be her out of anyone else – but she wouldn’t want to be too involved. She would try to be careful. I have no doubt she would have spoken to the two brothers at some point to try to improve the situation.
When asked about the princess’ relationship with her cousins, Harrold says:
The relationship is fun and natural. It’s never changed. They always have a lot of jokes together and can have a laugh.
They’re friends and that is what’s nice about it. They’re cousins, but they’re close and have each other’s backs. They do spend a lot of time together.
Beatrice’s closeness with her family along with her reputation of “being approachable and trustworthy” makes her a good candidate for peacemaker. With neither side showing signs of willing to budge, someone else has to step in.
