Columbus, Ohio, is about to become a staging ground for the next big Ohio protest. The locals in the state are no strangers to mass protests, having had well over 80 different protests during the No Kings Day protests across the state. From ICE deportations to Trump and how liberals view his first few months of leadership, many will be showing up at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus on America’s birthday, the fourth of July.
In a post shared by a user named One_Ad_6353, in the Ohio Reddit page, a new banner with instructions was posted detailing the Fight 4 People’s Democracy protest. It takes place on July 4, 2025, at the Statehouse in Columbus at noon. It proclaims to stop Donald Trump and stop the deportations as its leading slogans. It then becomes a myriad of instructions and rules on time, location, and what to do at the event.
Ohio has become a pretty divisive state as of late, as it features many protests, which gain as many detractors as attendees, the more time goes on in the Trump presidency. This is even reflected in the comments, as opinions are pretty split, with some even claiming that the event organizers are pro-Russia.
“I strongly encourage everyone to read about the group organizing this protest. TLDR: They’re a pro-CCP, pro-Russia, pro-North Korea party that denies the Tiennemen Square massacre, among many, MANY other insane things.”
“If you can’t have your feet on the ground. We need water, water, water. Even if you are driving through and showing support you can do such a huge part by bringing water so we can stay out there.”
“Remember, if you see someone at a protest open carrying, and you don’t know them and you think they seem suspicious, step 1 is to go say hi, ask them how they’re doing, ask what issues they’re passionate about that brought them out, etc. Get to know them. Step 1 is not to draw your own weapon and fire into a crowd.”
“Wish you people could put your energy into something more constructive. We can agree/disagree on points and politics but when will the far left realize their energies should be allocated more efficiently? I’d start by understanding why you believe what you believe, develop a way to defend that, respond respectfully to criticism, and finally learn how to agree to disagree. You’ll be much happier and I can almost promise that.”
Conservatives are likely to tune out this protest, but with the Summer raging on and temperatures and tempers running high, make sure to be safe above all if you plan on attending any protests around America’s birthday.
