Sony has officially revealed the free games for PS Plus subscribers for December 2023, and it’s not a weak month at all. The lineup will be available to download from Tuesday, December 5 to Monday, January 1. The free games can be accessed by anyone who is subscribed to PS Plus Essentials or any higher tier.

Lego 2K Drive
Lego 2K Drive is an open-world racing game that carries over some of the inspiration coming from the Mario Kart series. You will be driving cars that can use pickups as boosts or weapons and can transform into boats or planes depending on the maps. The rubberbanding AI isn’t entirely offensive and it should overall be a fun time, especially if you have some friends or kids around for some intense couch co-op. As for the story, it is a simple experience with the same level of humor one can expect from a Lego game.
Powerwash Simulator
Powerwash Simulator is, as expected, a game in which you wield a mighty powerwasher and hose away at grime and grease to your heart’s content. While the game is as shallow as it sounds, it has a certain charm for clean freaks that won’t go amiss. But all things considered, it is a weak addition to an otherwise respectable free lineup for December’s PS+ games.
Sable
Finally, and most likely, the star of the show is Sable, a beautiful cell-shaded open-world story experience that is entirely unique and should make for a great experience. The game puts you in the shoes of an unnamed protagonist who runs, and drives, around in a massive desert. The game does not have any combat, so it is more akin to something like Journey, instead of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. But keep in mind, that Sable will only be available to those who are playing on a PlayStation 5.
This is also the last opportunity to claim the free games for PS Plus subscribers for last month. November 2023’s games included Mafia II: Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and Aliens Fireteam Elite, all of which can be claimed anytime before December 4, 2023.
