Sony has been getting hit by leaks after leaks almost every month when it comes to its PS Plus games, and September is no exception. The upcoming games for subscribers of the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers have made it to the wild, and they aren’t exactly what we had hoped for. The leak comes from a well-known and reputable leaker called Bilbill-kun, who has been leaking PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass-related content for a while with a decent track record. He recently shared the following list of games on a popular French website, and the list may or may not be what you were hoping for:
PS Plus Extra & Premium Games List For September 2023
- NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139…
- Star Ocean: The Divine Force
- 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
- Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2
- Unpacking
If this was the whole list, most people would have been disappointed. While Nier Replicant and Civilization VI are no slouches, they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. According to the leaker, this is not the complete list, and there could be more interesting games once the official announcement goes live. Sony usually reveals PS Plus titles on Wednesday, so the full list of new PS Plus Extra and Premium games should be released on September 13.
As mentioned before, the leaked games aren’t exactly terrible, but what makes them not worth it is the recent price bump that the PlayStation Plus subscriptions got across all tiers. And with the increase in price, everyone was rightfully expecting an increase in quality and quantity of games being added to the PS Plus lineup. If you missed the price changes, you could see the exact increases for each tier below:
- PlayStation Plus Essential 12-Month Subscription: From $59.99 to $79.99
- PlayStation Plus Extra 12-Month Subscription: From $99.99 to $134.99
- PlayStation Plus Premium 12-Month Subscription: From $119.99 to 159.99
Even though the leaker has a good history of making accurate leaks, we still recommend taking the aforementioned leaks with some skepticism.
