Late Queen Elizabeth is said to be buried next to her husband, Prince Philip, who died in 2021 at the age of 99. She was laid to rest within the walls of Windsor Castle at the St George’s Chapel. The late monarch did not only lay beside her husband as other deceased family members will surround her in the vault. Her husband was moved from the Royal Vault where he was entombed temporarily.

The late royal couple got married in a glamorous ceremony on November 20, 1947, at Westminster Abbey. It’s the same place Prince William and Kate Middleton also got wedded over ten years ago. According to the author of Elizabeth the Queen, Bedell Smith, she fell in love at the age of 18 and hasn’t eyed another man ever since.

The love between Queen Elizabeth and her husband will continue beyond as they are buried beside each other this Monday.

Love Continues As Queen Elizabeth and Her Husband Are Laid Beside Each other

The late monarch truly loved her husband throughout her days on earth. This could be seen in her statements about him on their 1997 wedding anniversary. In the same book by Bedell Smith, she stated that Prince Philip was her strength through the years. She also stated that she owes him a debt greater than he would ever claim.

The story of love between Queen Elizabeth and her husband will continue in the afterlife. Unfortunately, the media won’t be present to cover the imaginary royal reunion. The reunion will have to extend to other deceased members of the royal family.

The queen and her husband won’t be the only ones in the vault beneath the St George’s Chapel. Late family members including King George VI, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and her sister Princess Margaret are all surrounding her.

However, there are reports that her sister was cremated against the traditional process for the royals. Many believe that it was done in order for her to fit in the burial spot.
