It’s incredibly difficult to secure a job nowadays in the United States of America. Lots of places are having to lay off entire teams, and a good majority of other careers really exploit their employees. A Kentucky woman had to experience this first-hand when the Baskin-Robbins she worked at allegedly withheld her final paycheck because she didn’t return her uniform.
Fortunately, this particular woman was able to get the police involved because, if that is what happened, that’s incredibly illegal. However, there are multiple people across the country who don’t have someone like the police in their corner to protect them.
The above video was posted to TikTok by the user @torimakesherwetter, which belongs to a young woman named Victoria, according to the profile. The video is taken from the point of view of a phone camera inside a Baskin-Robbins ice cream store. Victoria focuses the camera on an employee who is speaking with a different woman off-screen about the fact that it is illegal to withhold employee funds.
To add context to the situation, according to the caption Victoria put on the video, “After already having to deal with racism and I called them out for it & they fired me on my day off and refuse to pay me my last paycheck!! Anyways cops showed up forced them to give me my paycheck because it is illegal and the cop came up to me and said “Honey don’t let these racist ppl degrade you it’s not right your’re a beautiful brown Mexican woman don’t let them make you feel any type of way.“
The video then switches over to the employee at the restaurant calling, whom she claims to be the general manager. You can hear the employee allegedly speaking with the manager, and even saying, “So, don’t give it to her if she doesn’t have both shirts? Okay, sounds good. I will tell them.”
At this point, both Victoria and the woman she was with began to call the police, which is when the female employee started to become irate, asking them to take the call outside. She even becomes upset at the fact that the women were recording the situation.

Commenters were just as upset as Victoria was, with many people even believing that the phone call the female employee has with the general manager wasn’t even real, with one person saying, “That phone call is so fake 😭😭.” Another reply even recounted a similar incident, providing Victoria with some advice, saying, “I was denied my final paycheck of like 84 dollars. they ended up paying me $2000 and my lawyer $3000, you have a case. take this tiktok down, bring it to a lawyer. The one I found I paid nothing upfront, the lawyer got paid when I did.”
According to the caption, Victoria was able to get her paycheck, but not until after the police had to be involved. Hopefully, she never has to deal with a similar situation again in the future.
