Another day, another viral video of an unhinged Karen losing it in public. This time, it’s a woman who spat on a Black woman simply because she sat too close. The video, originally shared by GrindfaceTV across its social media platforms, has Reddit in an uproar, especially since the police didn’t immediately slap cuffs on her.
The incident took place in Orlando, Florida, as revealed by a close look at the officer’s badge. In the footage, the woman –who appears to be of Serbian descent– can be seen berating the Black woman before spitting at her in front of multiple witnesses, including children. Her aggression doesn’t stop there, as she also takes a swipe at the victim’s phone.
As usual, internet sleuths wasted no time digging into the details. Many commenters initially assumed she was Ukrainian, likely fueled by anti-Ukraine sentiment among right-wing users following former President Donald Trump’s recent skirmishes with Volodymyr Zelensky. However, sharper listeners pointed out that she was actually speaking Serbian, with one Redditor noting that her husband can be heard saying “pusti je,” which translates to “leave her be.”
Spitting Is Assault, So Why Wasn’t She Arrested?
Despite the clear assault, the video shows the responding officer engaging with the Karen instead of arresting her on the spot. That didn’t sit well with Redditors, who flooded the comments with frustration:
- “Why is she not in cuffs and being arrested for spitting on someone?”
- “Spitting is assault in most states. She should have been charged.”
- “Doing all that in front of her kids too—let’s toss Child Protective Services into the mix.”
Others couldn’t help but take shots at the woman’s appearance, with one commenter roasting her by saying, “Her first crime was walking out the house with those eyebrows.” Another compared her look to something out of a Mr. Potato Head kit.
So far, there’s no official word on whether this woman has been arrested or identified, but GrindfaceTV’s caption (“The internet will find her”) suggests it’s only a matter of time. Given the attention the video has received, it’s unlikely this Karen will be able to fade into obscurity.
