Speaking exclusively, he shared the grim prognosis, the lifestyle changes he’s forced to make, and his determination to fight for survival despite daunting odds.
Doctors Reveal Dire Outlook as Ray J’s Heart Scare Intensifies
Ray J says doctors delivered sobering news, telling him they’re unsure how long he has to live. “2027 is definitely a wrap for me,” he told fans on social media, mimicking a throat-slicing gesture. Half of his heart has reportedly turned black, and it’s only beating at 60 percent.
The star is now taking medications, including Lipitor, Jardiance, and Entresto, used for those at high risk of heart failure. Doctors also warned he may need a pacemaker or defibrillator, though he won’t receive an update until a follow-up in 14 days.
Ray J acknowledges that he must give up drinking and smoking, a challenge he’s tackling head-on. “Not being able to see my kids took me down and made me realize I need to change my ways of living,” he said.
Clinging to Hope: Bold Steps to Survive and Recover
Determined to find a cure to the heart problem, Ray J plans a trip to Haiti, despite the country’s current turmoil. He believes the island may hold treatments for heart conditions and is willing to take the risk. Reflecting on the ordeal, he told TMZ:
“If I come out of this, I’ll be stronger and a better person.”
Ray J also credited his family for support during this difficult time. He singled out his parents and sister, Brandy, who has been helping pay his bills. This battle comes just four years after a previous hospitalization for pneumonia and heart complications, which required oxygen support.
As he continues his fight, Ray J remains determined to navigate the challenges and embrace the changes necessary to survive and thrive.
