Today, HoYoverse points to a new story direction as well as the map of New Eridu with a new promo. According to their latest video, Zenless Zone Zero will move away from the city to the Outer Ring; plus, their leaks show that their next characters are very familiar with this deserted zone. Already, the proxies have met two faction members that dominate the Outer Ring: the Sons of Calydon, Piper and Lucy, who make a good impression. After the police department had the spotlight, it’s time to pass it on to these pyromaniac rebels and outlaws.
Some of the characters from other demos appear during the trailer, but so far, not all of them have had a formal presentation. Although some of these agents have already appeared in leaks, only two have obtained their Records/Drip Marketing. The next to appear in the banners of Zenless Zone Zero are Burnice and Caesar. Both agents will be S-Rank. Burnice has a Fire Attribute and Anomaly, while Caesar has a Physical Attribute focused on Defense. According to leaker Seele, Caesar will appear in phase 1 of Version 1.2 with Lucy and Anton. For phase 2, Burnice will appear with the agents Piper and Nicole.
The Sons of Calydon are a faction that always appear mobilizing with motorcycles or Piper’s iconic truck/bar in the desert. So these shots could be the new zone of Zenless Zone Zero, the Outer Ring. It is unclear what kind of gang these bikers are, but they seem to have the New Eridu desert well dominated. Several of their members so far have Physical or Fire Attributes, so I hope Lighter also has fire skills like in the promo. The only thing remaining is to see the Big Daddy kit. I hope we don’t have to wait much longer to see this whole faction in action.
