What Does The Redfall Gameplay Trailer Show?
The trailer starts out with Layla Ellison’s perspective as she investigates a blood-soaked church. It doesn’t take long for action to ensue after she climbs a ladder to the attic. Equipped with a shotgun, she takes out two vampires before being saved by her teammate Jacob Boyer. Cut-to a series of cinematics with more voiceover from Layla that explains the city of Redfall. The only things occupying this small island town now are vampires, cultists, and the dead. These vampires are different from you run-of-the-mill bloodsuckers.
The vampires in Redfall aren’t creations of the supernatural. They originated after a science experiment went bad and they are still evolving. That’s why some have different powers. Furthermore, Layla claims these vamps are powerful enough to blackout the sun and push away the water, trapping everyone on the island.
Who Are The Playable Characters?
First up, there’s Jacob Boyer. He’s a “deadeye with an undeadeye”. An ex-military sharpshooter with a mysterious vampiric eye and a spectral raven always by his side. Then there’s Remi De La Rosa, a combat engineer with a trusty robotic sidekick named Bribón. Thirdly, we have the team’s cryptozoologist Devinder Crousley. Devinder was a famous paranormal investigator before the events of Redfall. Last but not least, you can play as Layla Ellison who miay have more to her past than she’s letting on.
The trailer showcases different strategies you can take with each character’s unique specialty. It doesn’t shy away from highlighting the brilliant voice acting either, which promises to make this a fun and exciting game that you’ll have a difficult time stepping away from.
