Unlocking the Alchemist archetype in Remnant 2 might be a matter of luck, as it is uncertain if there are some conditions you need to meet before triggering the event. The one thing confirmed is that the event will trigger in Losomn or, more specifically, Ironborough. To unlock the class, you need to do the following:
- Explore the streets of Ironborough and stay close to the drains.
- There’s a chance you’ll get dragged by the Manticora.
- When your character respawns, they’ll be on top of a pile of bones.
- Walk away from the pile of bones until you find the Manticora.
- Defeating it will drop the “Mysterious Stone” material.
- Take it to Wallace in Ward 13 to craft the Philosopher’s Stone Engram.
- Equip it to unlock the Alchemist archetype.
Is The Alchemist Archetype Good?
Yes! The Alchemist archetype in Remnant 2 is fantastic, as it provides some of the best buffs for solo and co-op players. Here are the perks and traits you’ll get as an Alchemist:
- Traits:
- Potency: Increases Consumable Duration by 10%
- Perks:
- Liquid Courage: Grants a 2.5% increase to all damage.
- Panacea: Curative effects apply to all allies within 15m and grant 15 additional resistance.
- Gold to Lead: Picking up Scrap has a 15% chance also to award ammunition to the Alchemist.
- Experimentalist: Using a Relic applies a random buff on the Alchemist for 30 seconds. It can’t be overwritten.
Besides that, the Alchemist’s skills let them use vials with different effects. One gives them damage reduction, another gives them increased attack speed, and the last one gives health regeneration. Plus, these vials can be thrown, meaning other players can enjoy the benefits.
