Remnant: From the Ashes is a really solid souls-like shooter that we got the chance to review a while ago. It featured some great gameplay and solid worlds, with its DLC only furthering that. Today at the PC Gaming Show, Gunfire Games unveiled the second and final DLC for Remnant: From the Ashes, titled Subject 2923. The DLC looks to bring an end to the age-old Root once and for all, adventuring to new horizons and taking on new foes. The team showcased a new trailer showing off a lot of what to expect, which you can find below.

Remnant: From the Ashes - Subject 2923 | Announce Trailer

Subject 2923 takes you on an entirely new campaign, having you and mankind look to finish off the Root once and for all. Ever since the end of Remnant: From the Ashes, humans have begun reinhabiting the planet with most of the Root now gone without their leader. They aren’t all gone though, and it’s up to you to take the fight to them. You’ll meet unexpected allies, discover the origin of the dreamers, and acquire new loot when Subject 2923 drops onto PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 20th, 2020.

The new campaign mode isn’t all that’s on offer. With it comes a new zone known as Reisum. This is a mountainous, arctic world filled with new creatures, unique in nature, and looking to take you down. You can find these new enemies and the chilling zone in Campaign, but also in Survival, Hardcore, and Adventure. Survival and Hardcore are being improved too, adding new rewards for those who dare step foot into their hard challenge. Subject 2923 looks to be a great final addition to Remnant: From the Ashes, and we’re excited to try it ourselves.
