Plenty of videos depict customers who need to have the cops called on them for disorderly behavior in-store. In fact, we have many articles about that exact situation here under the Karen tag. However, it’s not often that you see a store call the cops on a customer who is actually very right. That’s what happened when a TikTok user decided to film his interaction with a Hertz rental car manager who unfairly charged his credit card.
The video starts off with the two men bickering about the manager charging the customer for something that clearly states on the paperwork that they should not have been charged. The charge begins to accrue after the customer drives more than 100 miles in a single day, which he was not notified of. In fact, the rental agreement he signed literally states that the miles on it are free and unlimited.
The manager refuses to take responsibility for the mistake and, instead, decides to turn things over to the cops when he is asked to explain what free and unlimited means. Fortunately, the man recording captured a quick glimpse of the Hertz rental car manager for the internet to have. Most of the comments immediately push the TikToker to sue Hertz while others make the mental note never to use the company in the future.
“So according to this. Never rent a car from Hertz, got it 👍🏻”
Personally, I would have made sure not to leave that office until things were settled. Of course, it’s easy to say that behind a computer keyboard, but there’s no way that a car rental company would be able to get away with that on my watch. The original poster replied to one of the comments asking for an update, stating that one would be available soon.
