Valley Guide for Resident Evil 4
After you’ve spoken to the merchant and saved your game at the Typewriter, it’s time to head into the valley. As you make your way past the large sealed door, take note of the hexagon-shaped key that is missing. We will look for this key in this section of the Chapter.
Make your way into the long path that heads to the Valley. Be careful, as there will be a Ganado waiting for you along the way. Once she is taken care of, the path will be relatively clear until you reach the wooden barrier on the road.
When you reach the barrier, climb up. At the top, you will be able to see a variety of paths, platforms, and buildings all around in front of you. Be sure to stay up on the platform you are currently on.
Before you jump down, you will want to equip your rifle and scope in order to take out some of the enemies that are visible to you. Keep in mind that many of the enemies will be hiding out and waiting to ambush you.
In order to make it to the hexagon-shaped piece that you need to progress through the large door near the merchant, you will have to make your way to the roof of the large building in the center of the area you just entered. To do this, you will want to head to your right, taking down all the enemies in your path.
The door to the house over here is locked, but you can easily hop in through the window.
Before you progress up the ladder in the house, make sure you loot the whole house. You can find a Flash Grenade, a Red Herb, and a Small Key in here. Now, climb up to the roof using the ladder and grab the Hexagon Emblem from the altar with the weathervane on top of it.
Now, make your way back to the building to the left of where you first entered the area. There will be a crank wheel that you can use to raise the gate. Doing this will safely allow you to return to the merchant’s area.
Once you are back in the clearing with the large door, it may be beneficial to speak to the merchant again, repair your knife, and even do a few upgrades to your weapons. Once this is done, use the typewriter to save your game.
