After terrorizing fans this past weekend, Resident Evil Village is already setting records across the internet. Never before seen for the the franchise, Village set records on both Steam and Twitch on release day.
According to a tweet sent out from the Steam database, “Resident Evil Village reached 100,000 concurrent players, a first for the series! On top of that, there are currently over 600,000 viewers on Twitch.” As of this writing, there are currently 97,910 active players delving into the new brand-new horror experience, and over 658,000 viewers have watched on Twitch. At its peak, there were over 101,726 active players on Steam; in comparison, Biohazard only peaked at 20,449 players on its release day when it released in 2017.
