RHONJ newbie Rachel Fuda opened up about how Teresa and Melissa’s feud affected their Bravo co-stars, including herself. The TV personality also detailed how the RHONJ OG wrote her off before getting to know her. Get the details below.
Teresa And Melissa’s Feud Didn’t Allow Teresa To Befriend Rachel Fuda
RHONJ newbie Rachel Fuda says co-star Teresa Guidice wrote her off as soon as she joined the show. Rachel’s teenage stepson is best friends with Melissa and Joe’s son Gino, 15.
“So, coming on the show as Melissa’s friend … I personally felt like I was immediately polarized — even without polarizing myself,” Rachel said on an upcoming episode of Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
The Bravo rookie claimed Melissa’s adversaries wrote her off automatically. She admitted that she didn’t like it because she would have preferred to get to know Teresa and maybe befriended her.
Rachel joined the cast when Teresa was in a bitter feud with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa. The divided parties didn’t make up yet after a series of heated exchanges at the RHONJ Season 12 reunion.
Teresa and Melissa’s feud again plays out in the Season 13 trailer. It is also clear that Teresa doesn’t get along with RHONJ newbie Rachel Fuda in the clip.
“Mind your f—king business,” Teresa told Rachel in the clip, to which the latter responds in an unbothered tone, “Oh, Teresa.”
RHONJ Helped Rachel Fuda Take A Positive Step
RHONJ newbie Rachel Fuda still believes she and Teresa can bond over their shared experience as matriarchs of blended families.
The Bravolebrity shares two young daughters with her husband, John Fuda. Meanwhile, she is in the process of adopting his 16-year-old son, Jaiden, from a previous relationship.
Similarly, Teresa and her new husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, share custody of three of her four daughters and one of his two sons.
Rachel says she and Teresa talked about their blended families during the season. However, Teresa and Melissa’s feud prevented their friendship from going deeper than that.
Nevertheless, Rachel didn’t allow the animosity on the show to distract her. The former bartender is busy making plans to become Jaiden’s legal guardian.
The mom of three shared that she is thrilled to show this part of her life to RHONJ viewers.
The reality TV star also acknowledged that she has been thinking of doing this for a while. She admitted that she put a pause on it after some lawyers friends asked her not to bother.
However, the newbie credited the show for giving her the push she needed. According to the Bravo star, filming for RHONJ ignited conversations that caused her to reassess her thoughts on the matter.
“The show honestly helped change my life … in the most positive way possible. I’m excited for everybody to see that unravel, the adoption process because I feel like it’s a very unique personal story and not something that’s been seen a whole lot before,” she concluded.
Teresa and Melissa’s feud may need to end before any meaningful friendships form again on the show. RHONJ newbie Rachel Fuda may also need to exercise great patience before becoming friends with New Jersey OG.
