RHONY Legacy cast is reportedly bitter over stalled contract talks. Bravo reportedly killed off RHONY Legacy contract talks after some of the cast refused to take the deal they were offered. The show was reportedly canceled, leading to animosity between those who wanted to sign and those who didn’t. Read on for the full story.
RHONY Legacy Cast Trade Blames Over Stalled Contract Talks
Sources claim that the RHONY Legacy cast members are trading blames. According to insider information, the cast disagreed on whether to accept a deal that would get the show on the air.
Sources also say those who were ready to sign are pretty pissed at the holdouts who killed it. Page Six previously reported that the network had been in talks with veteran stars to sign the RHONY Legacy contract. This included Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, and Dorinda Medley.
The old talents were supposed to appear in the revamped show intended to run parallel with the rebuilt RHONY. However, talks reached a deadlock when some of the intended RHONY Legacy cast remained obstinate over the deal.
The Housewives Didn’t Reach A Consensus
Insiders revealed that the cast asked for more money per episode, equivalent to what the Friends cast made. In addition to that, they wanted a guarantee of more episodes per season. However, Bravo refused, insisting that the stars overestimated their worth.
However, new information reveals that it wasn’t a unanimous decision by the Housewives. For example, sources say that Kelly Bensimon was ready to sign, but Jill pushing for a big payday was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
According to the news outlet, Dorinda was also ready to accept the terms and get the cameras rolling. On the other hand, Sonja barely paid attention to the whole affair. Meanwhile, Luann seemed on edge when she found out about the ranked deal.
It is unfortunate that Bravo killed The Real Housewives of New York Legacy contract talks. However, it might prove to be a time of self-discovery for Housewives.
