Ubisoft squeezed a nice extreme sports-shaped surprise into today’s procession of Gamescom Opening Night Live trailers, announcing an extension to the Riders Republic Beta until August 28. Best of all, Ubisoft says the Beta is now available to all players on PC via Ubisoft Connect or the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Ubisoft +, ahead of the Riders Republic release in October. The developer has even sorted out cross-gen and cross-play support.
The Riders Republic Beta is anything but a brief taster. It packs in quite a lot of what we can expect from the finished product. All five sports are up to test drive, including bike, ski, snowboard, wing-suit, and rocket wing-suit. The same goes for three sports careers: bike races, snow tricks, and air sports. Multiplayer also lands some love with mass races, tricks battle, and free for all modes. Finally, players are free to roam Riders Republic‘s open world at their leisure and sample a helping of side activities.
Riders Republic Beta Schedule
Ubisoft is staggering access to different elements of the Riders Republic beta, though, as follows:
- August 25 – Mass Races will be available including 3 different tracks. There will be 1 Mass Race every hour. As well as the Mass Races, check out the Abyss Arena Tricks Battle!
- August 26 – More tracks will be added to the Mass Races such as Mammoth Raider and Yosemite Clash for even more awesome events!
- August 27 – Still not had enough? Well, there’s more! Along with Mass Races and Tricks Battles this day will unlock Free for All Bike Tricks featuring the King Monkey and El Capitan Playground from 4pm UTC.
- August 28 – Everything is available for you to play at your choosing! Mass Races every hour, the Abyss Arena Tricks battles and the Bike Tricks Free for All!
After an initial delay, Ubisoft currently has the Riders Republic release penciled in for October 28.
