We all know that Rihanna and the Kardashians haven’t really gotten along well in previous years, and with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, being on the planning committee for the 2025 Met Gala, Rihanna has quite a bit of say in what goes down, especially when it comes to people she thinks shouldn’t be invited. According to certain sources, Rihanna’s planning on making sure the Kardashians don’t attend the event this coming year.
According to sources at Radar Online, Rihanna has a particular distaste for Kendall Jenner, who had previous relationships with both Chris Brown and A$AP Rocky. While she’s been in a relationship with A$AP for a long while now, she also had past experiences with Chris Brown that resulted in Rihanna being brutally assaulted. The insider said, “Rihanna did now appreciate Kendall’s friendship with Christ. Kendall chose a side, and it was the wrong one.” The continued, “At the time, Rihanna and Rocky were technically just friends, but that didn’t stop her from feeling territorial over him. It just solidified her dislike for Kendall and now she’s going to use the Met Gala to get a bit of petty revenge.”
In previous years, anyone co-chairing in the Met Gala along with Anna Wintour had quite a bit of sway over the guest list, and this year will be no different. Whether it’s true that Rihanna will be making sure the Kardashians and Jenners stay off the official guest list has yet to be seen. That doesn’t mean the pieces don’t fit together perfectly for this behavior to add up. According to the insider, it seems Rihanna isn’t the only person that’s had it with the Kardashians, though. “A lot of people are encouraging her,” they said. “She’s by no means the only one who feels like the Kardashians’ time is up.”
