When Ringo Starr took the stage for his Grand Ole Opry debut, fans got more than they bargained for. The music icon performed a collection of songs including, With A Little Help From My Friends.
It was a matter of moments before Ringo began trending on X. However, it was not about his performance but his youthful appearance and incredible energy.
The Opry audience members can’t get over how incredible the 84-year-old musician looked as he danced and moved about the stage with ease.
According to the Daily Mail reports, many fans claimed Ringo was ‘aging in reverse.’ Some even believed his vocals were even better than his former bandmate Paul McCartney.
Ringo Starr Fulfills Life-Long Dream
The Opry performance meant a lot to Ringo Starr according to The Tennessean. The former Beatles member told the audience, “As you may have noticed, I dressed up a bit tonight. I’m a cowboy inside. This is a great honor and an incredible moment for me. It’s just a dream to end up here.” The cowboy hat quickly became a nuisance for Starr, who kept catching it on the microphone stand before opting to ditch the hat altogether.
Starr was then joined by album collaborator Molly Tuttle for renditions of Time On My Hands and a cover of Johnny Russell’s Act Naturally. A video posted to X was captioned: “Eighty-four-year-old Ringo Starr performing ‘With a Little Help From My Friends’ by The Beatles last night in Nashville.”

“He really is amazing. He Looks great for 84. Where does all that energy come from?” comments one fan. “That’s what ‘Peace and Love’ and bottles of Grecian 2000 do for you, ” adds another.
“Credit where due, he is looking bloody good for 84! Would pass as the late 50s,” claims one more. Ringo Starr did not disappoint and left his fans begging for more. The singer engaged with the audience, leaving them well-entertained during his Opry gig.
The February 22 performance was the second time he has performed in Nashville this year. In January, he played two nights at the Ryman Auditorium, joined by musical guests Emmylou Harris, Brenda Lee, Mickey Guyton, Jack White, and Sheryl Crow.
Starr’s fans can also catch an upcoming CBS special recorded at the concerts. Ringo & Friends at the Ryman will air on March 10 at 8 p.m. Ringo has no plans to slow things down anytime soon. The singer is also set to kick off another tour with his All-Starr Band beginning on June 12, in Bridgeport Connecticut.
