A road rage incident in Youngstown, Ohio, stemmed from a woman attempting to cut off a vehicle line. Apparently, when confronted, the woman resorted to flipping the bird and is accused of admitting to being racist on camera.
The mad Ohio Karen was recorded and posted to TikTok by user valexia85. According to Valexia, the woman tried to “shove in while everyone was waiting properly.” When the TikToker called her out, the Karen got “salty” and started to give the finger. She would only do so to Derek, Valexia’s partner, and a Black man.
The content creator revealed that she asked the Karen if she was being racist, and she allegedly said, “Yes, I am.”
The moment itself is not shown in the video, but Valexia did approach the Karen’s vehicle afterward and told her that she had recorded her admission. Despite this, the Karen is heard saying, “I don’t care. It’s a free country, I can say whatever I want.”
Valexia then tried to reason with the woman, attempting to make her understand that the alleged racist remark could get her fired. The Karen, unbothered, repeated that she didn’t care.
A back-and-forth followed regarding the woman’s cutting off the line, and no understanding was made. Valexia, however, once again confronted her with the fact that she said, “Yes, I am,” when asked if she was racist. The Karen appeared to confirm the accusation, saying that she said that because she was “pissed.”
“‘Cause you were pissed you wanted to be racist?” Valexia asked. The Ohio Karen answered, “I’m not racist, you are racist.”
Karen Blasted, Reactions
As expected, all users in the comments blasted the woman for her attitude and alleged racism against Derek. One user said, “She’s just one sad lonely old woman.” Another one commented, “Being pissed doesn’t excuse being racist.” A third one added, “Nasty behavior on her part. I would like to apologize, you should never EVER have to deal with that.”
Others praised Valexia’s handling of the situation, saying that they would have acted more dramatically.
One person wrote, “Me and my hateful self I would have sat there 15 more minutes.” Another one said, “I would of just sat there. Bathroom, browse the entire store, and make some phone calls.” A third one commented, “I’m local. I’ll pull up and cause a scene with the quickness.”
The moral of the story? Don’t cut lines and don’t be racist. That’s easier said than done for some, apparently.
