Your family name in Roblox Attack On Titan Revolution can offer a lot of great benefits. It’s not enough to just upgrade your gear and call it a day. You’re fighting massive humanoid giants that want to desperately swallow you whole, so take every advantage you can. Naturally, some family names are better than others. If you know your family name in Attack On Titan Revolution, you can use our tier list to see where you fall on the totem pole.
S Tier Families
- Ackerman: Despite being unable to titan shift, the Ackerman family name offers a massive boost to your stats across the board, like a whopping 15% crit chance and crit damage, for example. Additionally, you unlock double-jumping, an extra Offense perk slot, and three abilities.
- Reiss: While not as packed with stat boosts like the Yaeger or Ackmerman family name, Reiss has great abilities. Not only can you shift at any time, you can stun Pure Titans for 5 seconds and command 10 Pure Titans to fight for you. The experience bonus and extra Support perk slot is also a plus. Keep this one in mind if you plan on raiding!
- Yaeger: The Yaeger family name is all-around fantastic, with a nice split between bonus stats towards titan shifting and when you’re human. You gain multiple abilities for healing, shorter titan shifting cooldown, increased damage, crit chance, and another Defense Perk slot. Best of all, you have the Invigorate passive, reviving you upon death.
A Tier Families
- Arlert: Arguably the best A tier family name on this list. Again, Shifter Regen is a big plus here, but it’s the bonus stats that are most useful. You gain a whopping 10% crit chance, just 5% less than Yaegar and Ackerman. Additionally, the Colossal Titan form will be stronger as well as its AOE attacks.
- Galliard: Much like the Leonhart family name, Galliard is another good family name that doesn’t have any downsides. You also gain the Shifter Regen ability, but the bonus stats are to crit damage, Jaw Titan stats, and titan attack speed. If you like playing more offensively, Galliard is a good choice.
- Leonhart: There’s nothing particularly special about the Leonhart family name in Attack on Titan Revolution, other than having no downsides. Your Shifter Regen skill heals you and your injuries; damage is increased across the board, and the Female Titan form is much stronger. Additionally, you run faster as a titan.
- Zoe: Like Ackerman, you can’t titan shift with the Zoe family name, but there’s is an upside to it. Upgrades are cheaper and both ODM control and speed are increased. More importantly, you gain the Last Stand skill, which heals you, increases damage, and reduces the amount of damage you receive for 30 seconds. However, you die if you get an injury, making for a high risk, high reward playstyle.
B Tier Families
- Azumabito: Solid family name early on before you unlock Titan shifting. You’ll gain 5% more damage and ODM control, but your titan stats are lowered by 5%. It’s an okay trade for early game, before you gain titan abilities.
- Blouse (Common): No benefit.
- Boyega (Common): No benefit.
- Bozao (Common): No benefit.
- Braun: Pretty decent titan-oriented family name. In addition to Shifter Regen, you’ll gain a boost in your stats as a Beast Titan and gain 10% more titan damage. Even if you aren’t a Beast Titan, you’re still benefiting.
- Braus: Though the Braus family name lowers your max health by 5%, the Potato skill is great in a pinch, healing you for 30% of your max HP.
- Finger: The Finger family name just barely scrapes by into B tier and it’s mostly because of its Shifter Regen ability. Your titan form lasts 5% longer and you get a 10% stat boost as Cart Titan. Other than that, the extra ODM gas is welcomed, letting you zip around longer.
- Hume (Common): No benefit.
- Iglehaut (Common): No benefit.
- Inocenio (Common): No benefit.
- Ksaver: If I were ranking family names, Ksaver would definitely be near the top of B tier. Shifter Regen aside, the bonus titan damage and stats as a Beast Titan are really good. And the ODM range increase means you can grapple walls, buildings, and titans at a greater distance.
- Munsell (Common): No benefit.
- Pikale (Common): No benefit.
- Ral (Common): No benefit.
- Reeves (Common): No benefit.
- Tybur: Not great, but not terrible either. You get bonus stats to Warhammer Titan and it’ll last a little longer. You also get extra gold after missions and Shifter Regen. Overall it’s not great, but not terrible either.
C Tier Families
- Grice: At the cost of ODM speed lowered by 5%, your Jaw Titan stats are increased by 5%. Being fast is incredibly important for avoiding titans, so the tradeoff isn’t worth it.
- Kirstein: One of the most useless family names in AOTR. The 10% faster horse at the cost of 5% less ODM speed is a poor trade.
- Kruger: Lowers crit chance by 5%; raises Attack Titan stats by 5%. Critical chance is quite good and it isn’t worth lowering to improve a form you won’t use often.
- Smith: Raises gold and experience gain by 2.5%, but at the cost of 5% less damage. Sounds okay in theory, but you’re better off raising the difficulty.
- Springer: On one hand, you gain 5% more crit damage and max HP, but your crit chance is lowered by 5%. If you aren’t critting as often, what’s the point of more crit damage? I deem the Springer family name pointless.
I’d like to close with something you may have noticed. Why are there only rare family names in C-tier when common names offer no benefits? Well, every rare family name is a double-edge sword; it lowers a stat and raises another.
However, half of the rare family names don’t have a good tradeoff. Unless you get a rare name that’s worthwhile, you’re better off having a common name and avoiding the stat decreases altogether.
