Since February, Roblox players have been anticipating the release of Blox Fruits‘ latest big update. Dubbed Update 20, the developers are working hard to jam pack it with various exciting content. But they didn’t forget to share some bits and pieces of the development on social media. This Roblox guide has compiled all currently known info on Blox Fruits Update 20 including release date hints and details about the Mammoth Fruit.
When is the Blox Fruits Update 20 Release Date?

Unfortunately, the release date for the Blox Fruits Update 20 has not yet been revealed to the public. However, we do have some valuable clues. One of the game’s developers, @wenloco, shared a number of cryptic hints regarding the update’s release date:
- First code hint: 10110110.
- Second code hint: 1011, with a mirror, ABC, and hashtag emotes in the picture’s alternate text.
- Third code hint: 1000011 and a Thailand flag.
Release Date Hints & Clues Explained
- For the first Blox Fruits Update 20 release date hint, @wenloco admitted they posted the wrong code. Whoops!
- For the second hint, players assume that there is going to be an event in Chocolate Island on October 11 or November 10.
- For the third one, the developer said that the Thailand flag is part of the code and the binary doesn’t translate to letters. This means “1000011” can be read as “67” when converted from binary to decimal. Meanwhile, Thailand’s caller code is “+66.” If we add them we get “133” which could mean the “3rd day of the 13th month,” aka January next year.
- On the other hand, Thailand can be shortened to “TH.” If we combine them, then the hint can be read as 67th. Obviously, there’s no 67th day. Then considering it was posted back on June 15th, August 21st aka the 67th day from that date, has also passed.
- But if we break down the number, we can get “8th.” 6×7 = 42, 4×2 = 8. Then, look back at the second hint: “1011.” If we’re optimistic, Blox Fruits developers could be hinting that the new update is dropping either on 10/8th (October 8th) or 11/8th (November 8th).
- On October 2nd, developer @rip_krazy, also known as rip_indra, asked the game’s video editor to start working on the trailer because it’s “releasing soon.” All these hints point towards Blox Fruits Update 20 might potentially release sometime in October 2023. (Looking back from 2024, we now know that proved to be true. The update was released on October 21, 2023).
New Mammoth and Other Devil Fruits Coming in Blox Fruits Update 20
Back in August, rip_indra teased that “ancient beasts” are coming to the game. Two months later, we can finally watch the new Fruit in action, thanks to JCWK’s video above. Released with Blox Fruits Update 20, Mammoth Fruit is armed with devastating forward-facing attacks. Such as the three-way energy move and the charged body slam dash.
While some players are hoping this new Mammoth Fruit could rival the current Blox Fruit Buddha meta, it seems unlikely. Judging from the video, it has a slower M1 attack move that could become a detriment in high end fights. On the other hand, its attack ranges are still quite wide and could cause problems against its enemies.
Along with the Mammoth Fruit, another Blox Fruit developer called @ShafiDev also shared another teaser. They teased the “latest Fruit” that is ready for the upcoming update. As seen in the post above, the Fruit attack has a Smoke Fruit-like explosion but with Magma visuals. A commenter said that it could be a Ryu Ryu no Mi Model: Pteranodon. Like the one used by King, Kaido’s right-hand man, in One Piece.
New Weapon, Tweaks, and Reworks in Update 20
Blox Fruits Update 20 will also bring older weapons up to snuff so it can compete in the meta. Not just from the weapons’ statuses but also visual effects. Rip_indra used the long-neglected Gravity Crane and the Saber as well as Dark Blade as examples. Not to mention that the Rengoku Sword’s Demon Slayer Z attack is getting much-needed changes.
But it’s not just old weapons that are getting the spotlight! The upcoming big update is planning to add new equipment too. Including a new anchor-shaped weapon which you can see below.
Blox Fruits Update 20 Features a Brand New Area To Explore
Last but not least, the Blox Fruits Update 20 will also add at least one new island beyond the Third Sea. As seen in the picture, there is a silhouette of a Thriller Bark-like ship on the horizon. Interestingly, illustrator @disardo1 added that “something ominous” is coming to the game while posting a picture of a glowy set of eyes in the dark. Could this be a hint for a new raid boss?
The sea is expanding, calling out to those brave enough to challenge it… How many new adversaries will it bring to Blox Fruits?

As mentioned above, the Anchor held by rip_indra is a new weapon. On X, the Blox Fruit Update 20 developer posted an additional teaser for the update. If the post below hits 100,000 Likes, they’ll upload a video of the Anchor’s moveset and the new island.
