At some point in Blox Fruits, you’ll want to upgrade your gear using various materials, Leather being among them. In fact, most if not all upgradable swords and guns call for Leather. Since you can’t simply trade materials with other Roblox players in Blox Fruits, the next best thing is to know how to get Leather. As it happens, there are numerous locations, but only one or two spots are really worth visiting.
How to Get Leather in Blox Fruits (& Best Farm Strategy)
Leather in Blox Fruits can’t be bought or traded with other players; instead, you have to defeat specific NPCs that have Leather in their loot table. No NPC is guaranteed to drop Leather, so you’ll just have to pick one of these mobs:
- Pirate: Pirate Village
- Brute: Pirate Village
- Gladiator: First Sea’s Colosseum
- Mercenary: Second Sea’s Colosseum
- Marine Captain: Green Zone
- Lab Subordinate: Hot and Cold (cold side)
- Pirate Millionaire: Port Town
- Pistol Billionaire: Port Town
- Jungle Pirate: Floating Turtle
- Forest Pirate: Floating Turtle
Any of these areas could be good spots to farm Leather, but it wouldn’t necessarily be the most optimal. That honor goes to the Pirates and Brutes on Pirate Village, a level 35 and 45 mob, respectively. And since Pirate Village is in the First Sea, just about everyone can farm materials.
However, I would also urge you to use devil fruit, specifically Light. Its AoE potential, even at low mastery levels, is great for grinding. Simply take a hike in a circle, hitting up each group of Pirates and Brutes along the way.
What is Leather Used For in Blox Fruits? Explained
Leather is a crafting material in Blox Fruits, common and fairly easy to get. Despite its low quality status, it’s incredibly important for upgrading every sword and gun in the game. That includes fan-favorites like the Dragon Trident and the Soul Cane.
- Acidum Rifle
- Bizarre Rifle
- Buddy Sword
- Cannon
- Canvander
- Cutlass
- Dragon Trident
- Dual Katana
- Flintlock
- Iron Mace

Each weapon calls for a varying amount of Leather, from as little as 5 to as many as 50, though that’s rare. Most recipes require 10 to 20 Leather, so no matter what, you’ll rarely have to farm for long. More importantly, you don’t have to upgrade every weapon—just the best ones.
