For newcomers, Converting Mastery is the Mastery Skill related to converting Pets through the Golden Machine, Rainbow Machine, and Dark Matter Machine. If you have six Pets of the same type, you can spend Diamonds to convert them into a Golden, Rainbow, or Dark Matter variant. Of course, you can take a chance at using less than the maximum six for fewer Diamonds, but the chances of success will no longer be guaranteed. For instance, attempting to change one Golden Pet into a Rainbow Pet only has a 13% chance of success.

It is important to note that the Golden, Rainbow, and Dark Matter Machines work in successive order, meaning that only normal Pets can become Golden Pets. Likewise, only Golden Pets can be converted into Rainbow Pets, and Dark Matter Pets can only be created with Rainbow Pets. Needless to say, converting Pets into Dark Matter variants costs tens of thousands of Diamonds for a single conversion. Of course, you can also only use the Golden or Rainbow Machine if you are short on Diamonds or do not want to wait for the Dark Matter Machine’s timer. Regardless, once you reach Converting Mastery 99, you will receive the Steampunk Hoverboard in Pet Simulator X.
