Hiding in closets and running down halls is peak Keys gameplay even before All Hallows’ Eve. During The Haunt and Halloween event, the psycho clowns stalking these Roblox maps are an even greater menace. You’ll need to collect some grand gourds as well as the typical keys to progress. Doing so without getting nabbed by the ghoulies behind you is another story. You’ll be fine, though, as long as you’re a little faster than your slowest friend. Here’s how to participate in The Haunt and Halloween event in Keys.
Roblox Keys Halloween Event Guide
If you’re already familiar with Keys, adapting to the Halloween event should be easy. It’s a game about finding keys to unlock a door and escape from monsters, and that’s still true. The biggest change for Halloween is the addition of the Haunted Hospital. It plays like other maps, but you’ll need to do something special for a Halloween treat: collect pumpkins and cash them in for juicy rewards. Here’s what you need to do:
- Play on any map
- Find pumpkins
- Touch the pumpkins to collect them
- Escape alive
Nabbing pumpkins is easy, but there’s one big risk in Keys. The game revolves around hiding and running from monsters and collecting the keys you need to escape. Getting distracted by a pumpkin is an easy way to lose track of the monsters around you, so keep an eye on the HUD for warnings of approaching baddies. When in doubt, you can often leap off a platform or use a nearby wall to break away from the chase.
The Haunt Photo Competition
Roblox‘s Haunt event includes a photo competition across multiple games. Keys is getting in on the frightful action. That’s good news, because players fleeing in terror from killer clowns almost always make for a funny screenshot. Like with pumpkin collecting, the trick is not getting nabbed by the baddies mid-photo. Here’s how to join in the fun:
- Click on The Haunt icon (the bat wing camera) on the right of the screen
- If you like the picture enough to use, click Submit
- Select the category that best fits your picture (Villains, Cute, Creepy, Orange, etc.)
- Confirm you’re choosing this picture as your submission
- Click submit
With a limit of one submission per day, you need to be a bit picky with your selection for The Haunt. Between the frightening photos, pumpkin nabbing, and spooky hospital map, Keys is ready to deliver a terrifying experience this Halloween. Just keep an eye out for ghoulies in circus grease paint.
