Roblox: Pets Go Ice Fishing Guide (Winter Holiday Event)

With the holidays coming soon and snow on the ground, Roblox has finally begun their winter holiday event for the year, the Winter Spotlight Event, and among the participating games is Pets Go. If you can manage to unlock the Holiday Event, there are a few paths you can take to enjoy the available festivities, but we’re going to be focusing on Ice Fishing this time around. Since it’s a primarily afk game, and you can afk Ice Fish while you roll the dice for the most rare pets out there, it’s a pretty chill environment, but there are some things you should know beforehand about how it all works.

How To Unlock Ice Fishing

Before you can unlock Ice Fishing, you’ll need to unlock the Holiday Event, which might take a little while if you’re new to Pets Go. After you initially spin the dice a few times, you’ll accumulate some coins, complete some quests, gain some coin multipliers, and unlock the Upgrade option. If you head over to Upgrade, you’ll see there are a few options, one of which is the Holiday Event unlock, which costs 5,000 coins.

After you’ve unlocked the Holiday Event, head inside. You’ll probably notice that any upgrades here cost Gingerbread Coins instead of normal coins. They’re easy to get though, don’t worry. After you start spinning again, you’ll have access to holiday pets that reward Gingerbreads. Head back into the Upgrade menu and enter the Holiday Event once you’ve completed a few spins, and unlock the Ice Fishing option for 25 Gingerbread Coins.

How To Go Ice Fishing

Ice fishing is honestly relatively simple to do, and the best part is that you can afk roll while you fish if you have the option to auto-roll unlocked in Upgrades. Head over to the center of the area where the open water is, and walk into one of the ice fishing areas marked by a frozen fishing rod icon. As long as you’re standing in the circle and you see the fishing animation working, then you’ve got everything you need to ice fish in Pets Go.

All Holiday Event Upgrades

While just upgrading the Ice Fishing perks might be useful, you’ll get a whole lot more out of the experience if you work toward unlocking all of the Holiday Event upgrades.
