In a post on the Playstation Blog on Monday, Psyonix (creators of Rocket League) said they’ll be releasing a slew of cool new Halloween themed items on October 18th.

Seen in a few screenshots, there’s a number of fun ways to pimp your ride with the “spooky” themed items. Anywhere from an antenna to wheels, the customization aspect of the game is expanding even more, for free!

…each Halloween item can be unlocked simply by playing matches like you normally would (Win or lose!). Once you’ve found an item, it’s yours to keep forever, but if you don’t find the ones you want by November 2nd, you’ll have to wait until next year for a shot at them again.

Rocket League... Halloween style

The Items List Includes:

  • “Calavera” Antenna
  • “Candy Corn” Rocket Trail
  • “Carriage” Wheels
  • “Fuzzy Brute” Antenna
  • “Fuzzy Vampire” Antenna
  • “Pumpkin” Topper

It’s a cool way to get players back in the action, like myself. The fact that it’s a limited time only, and there’s no way to purchase the items is pretty cool too. The announcement comes off the heels, and just prior, to the new DLC that Rocket League and Psyonix will release Revenge of the Battle-Cars. That $3.99 package will have a number of great items as well, but Psyonix stressed that the Halloween pieces are available even if you haven’t or won’t purchase the new content.
