Rocket League is a game of playing soccer/football with cars. Dying Light is a first-person zombie shooter. You’d think that any kind of crossover between the two would be impossible.
However, you’d be wrong due to a certain thing that was introduced in Dying Light’s ‘The Following’ expansion; dirt buggies. Following this, it didn’t take long for some diabolical genius to recognise the potential for a crossover with Rocket League; the world’s premier vehicle-based sports game.

What Dying Light players get out of this is a snazzy new paint job for their dirt buggies. Also, judging by the video, there appears to be some soccer based minigame included as well.
It’s currently unknown what the Rocket League side of the DLC will be, but we can speculate. Given that you can already drive the Delorean from Back to the Future or the Batmobile from Batman v Superman, it’s safe to speculate that you might be launching yourself around the arena in one of Dying Light’s buggies.
According to Gamespot the crossover appears to have been motivated by Dying Light creator’s Techland’s fondness for Rocket;
‘We’re huge fans of Rocket League and because both games offer great driving fun, we thought why not just partner up and give fans of both games some unique stuff,” Techland producer Tymon Smektala said in a statement.’
