Rooster Teeth is one of the more unique companies in the entertainment industry when it comes to fan interactions. Unlike most, they are very open not only when it comes to communication and feedback, but how they run their daily operations. So much so that they are working on creating a behind the scenes, business set of videos for FIRST members.
The news came about following the live broadcast of the 500th episode of the Rooster Teeth Podcast. About halfway through the show, former Fullscreen and current Rooster Teeth president Ezra Cooperstein joined the show to talk about the business side of the company.
While Cooperstein mostly works on the back end of things as the company’s president, this isn’t the first time he has made an appearance on video. You may remember him from one of Burnie’s Vlogs, titled how does “Rooster Teeth make money?”. In the video, Ebzra detailed a lot of the intricacies that go into running the business side of things.
Though his vlog series has since ended, Burnie sites that many were interested in the business aspect that was displayed in a lot of the videos. It was that interest that sparked the idea to create a business focused set of videos for FIRST members.
“Rooster Teeth has such a vibrant community, and I think it is important for us to demystify what this business is,” Cooperstein said. “So how can we pull back the curtain a little bit? How can we talk about some of the things that we do that are business decision but impact every person who watches Rooster Teeth?
His answer, and Rooster Teeth’s answer, was the upcoming style of videos they are creating surrounding the business side of things.
There is no word exactly on when Rooster Teeth will implement the new brand of videos, nor how it will play into the FIRST tiers and payment plans. What we do know is that Ezra and Matt Hullum are currently working out logistics.
