A chaotic scene unfolded recently on Trinity Street, between 5th and 6th street in Austin, Texas, when a street fight broke out between several patrons outside a cocktail bar. While there’s currently very little information about the incident online, it appears that a large group of individuals were likely on a night out when the violent physical altercation went down. Since it’s now been shared to Reddit, the clip is making the rounds on social media.
Captured by a witness at the scene, the footage is fairly brief, and doesn’t reveal the buildup before the violent scuffle. In fact, the clip begins in the midst of the frantic commotion, with one man sporting a black t-shirt and blue jeans shorts and another guy with his top off. Both men are grappling with each other and throwing punches, while a large group of onlookers have formed to watch the shocking scene unfold.
The fight quickly ends up on the floor, with the topless man on the ground, and the other assailant mounting his opponent and striking him with several blows. While he delivers these punches, the guy on the floor’s legs can be seen flailing around, though we can’t quite see his face. With the man on top delivering some formidable ground and pound blows, several other men join in the fray and attempt to help the guy on the floor.
The unruly crowd in the background can be heard yelling things like, “Oh, oh, oh! Sh*t!” while the chaotic altercation intensifies. However, the topless man is finally grabbed by a bunch of other onlookers who help to pull the men away from each other and split the fight up. Both men, however, appear to have exchanged blows and look a little worse for wear by the end of the physical altercation, though the topless man can be seen beaming a large grin as the video comes to a close.
With the footage spreading online, social media users took to the comments to share their thoughts. One user on Reddit penned, “Legs were flailing like Snorlax was sitting on him.” while another chimed in stating, “I’m not sure what the proper thing to do with your legs is when you’re getting pummeled on the ground, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t it.” A third commenter touched on the frequency of fights that occur in the Austin bar area, expressing, “I swear I’ve seen dozens upon dozens of fight videos from this area. Is this a legitimate regular occurrence there.” with the OP responding, “6th Street in Austin is a well known rowdy bar area. There’s a a few fights every weekend“. A fifth comment simply joked, “Man on man bro love🧡❤️❤️😍”
While it’s unclear whether the police were called to the scene, it’s fair to say that both men were likely injured during the violent scuffle, with a few other men who joined in the ruckus also likely sustaining injuries. Hopefully, those who were hurt can get the medical attention they need, as it looks like these bar patrons will be waking up with more than a hangover when the morning comes.
