Development Studio Remedy Entertainment has had a very unique response with Control. Their new game currently surpassed 10 million copies within less than 3 years. This is also notably before details on the upcoming 4-player PvE mode, which is still in development. Control also has a full-fledged sequel in the early stages of production. Yet, the studio is ready to dive into a separate triple-A project. Announced in their financial report, Remedy is in full development of the rumored Alan Wake Sequel published by Epic Games.
What do we know about the Alan Wake Sequel?
With Remedy rumored to be developing Alan Wake 2 and Epic Games Store leaks confirming a remaster, it’s possible an Alan Wake Sequel is in full production. While this news is great, Remedy is also working on a slew of other titles. Alongside the Control multiplayer spinoff, there are quite a few games on the horizon. Their multiplayer shooter, CrossfireX set to launch sometime later this year. Alongside Vanguard, Remedy’s free-to-play co-op game, the studio is working on many new experiences.
Due to those existing obligations, it’s fair to say Alan Wake 2 might not be fully revealed for another year. After releasing Control on the Epic Games Store before Steam, epic has certainly held their interest in Remedy. With recent Epic Games Store leaks coming true, the Remedy rumors of upcoming games are certainly good signs of production. A reveal is possibly soon to generate hype and interest for Alan Wake again. Remedy Entertainment is also possibly looking to push new generation hardware.
