Rust is an extremely punishing survival game developed by Facepunch Studios. The developers of Rust improve the game every month with new updates, and unlike Ark: Survival Evolved, servers are regularly wiped. So it is always fresh and playable. In a harsh survival game like Rust, Gun Powder is a crucial resource to get, and it makes your life much easier. With this useful resource, you can craft bullets or explosives to raid other players’ bases for some juicy loot. Without weapons, you are so likely to be killed by other players. So that’s why you need to be able to defend yourself properly. We will cover how and where to find Gun Powder and Sulfur in Rust in this guide.

You can craft Gun Powder with x30 Charcoal and x20 smelted Sulfur, and you will need two other items besides these resources. You should have Workbench Level 1 to be able to craft Gun Powder. To craft Workbench Level 1 you will need x500 Wood, x100 Metal Fragments, and x50 Scrap. And you will need a Furnace to smelt Sulfur and generate Charcoal. You can obtain Charcoal can by burning wood at any fire source.

You can distinguish Sulfur Ores by their yellow colors. As for where to find Sulfur in Rust, you can find them basically anywhere like, but it can be abundantly found in mountains and snow biomes. Most of the big clans in Rust build their compounds in snow biomes because of this fact.

How To Get Gunpowder With Recycling

Getting Gun Powder with the help of Recycle Machines in Rust is an underrated way, but you can yield more Gun Powders than you think, and you don’t have to farm any Sulfur. Especially if you are making loot runs in Cargo Ships, Oil Rigs, or Military Tunnels. There are lots of Scientists in these monuments, and they commonly drop Shotgun Shells, you can get x3 Gun Powder per shell. As for the Military Tunnels, Scientists tend to drop plenty of Flares, and you can recycle Flares for x5 Metal Fragments and x5 Gun Powder.

If you have lots of Scraps, you can buy Smoke Grenades from the vending machines at Outpost for 5 Scrap. You can recycle single Smoke Granade for x18 Gun Powder and x25 Metal Fragments. If you don’t need to research anything, this can be a great side hustle for getting extra Gun Powder and Metal Fragments for your team in Rust.

Best Way To Craft Gunpowder

The best way to craft Gun Powder in Rust is crafting it with the help of the Mixing Table. If you craft your Gun Powder with Mixing Table, you will spend 10 less Charcoal, and you don’t have to wait at the Workbench to Gun Powder craft for a long time. After you put the required resources on the Mixing Table, it will automatically craft for you. Also, you can learn more about Rust Industrial Update and fully automate your base.

Rust is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
