Considering so many young kids attend her shows, the internet is calling out Carpenter for being too “vulgar.”
Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Short n’ Sweet’ Concert in Los Angeles Receives Mixed Reactions
Over the past few months, Sabrina Carpenter has been performing throughout the United States and Canada as part of the North American leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour. This week, she closed out the trek with two back-to-back performances at the Kia Forum. For her last concert at the Los Angeles venue, Carpenter decided to surprise fans by debuting a new position during “Juno.”
In case you’re unfamiliar with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Juno,” the pop star always acts out a raunchy bedroom position when she performs the song on tour. It happens after she sings, “Have you ever tried this one?” during the track’s pre-chorus. Since she often changes her positions, fans look forward to the moment every concert.
During her Nov. 18 concert at the Kia Forum, Carpenter debuted a new position. After singing the popular “Juno” lyric, the Disney Channel alum got on her knees, pulled back her hair, and simulated an inapproriate act with her microphone. While a lot of her fans went wild over the performance, others had a different reaction.
Some fans criticized her for being too sexual this time. “So is her tour just sex ed?” one person questioned. “Sabrina is one step away from starting an OnlyFans at this point,” another said. Since she has a lot of young fans, Carpenter also received backlash for not thinking about the kids who attend her concerts. “And to think children look up to her…” one comment read. “Aren’t most of her fans little kids?” another fan wrote.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour has officially concluded in North America. Next, the singer will take a four-month break before she resumes her shows in March 2025. Her first two concerts next year will take place in Dublin, Ireland, on March 3 and 4. Afterward, she’ll perform in England, Scotland, France, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands before she wraps up her tour in Italy on March 26.
Although Carpenter won’t be touring for a few months, she’ll be keeping busy for the holidays. She’ll premiere her highly-anticipated Netflix special A Nonsense Christmas on Friday, Dec. 6.
