It’s frankly been a very long time since we’ve seen the dog and rabbit crimefighting duo. These hilarious detectives are a cult classic, spanning several games and shows that are beloved by fans. The last time we saw them in a full game though was 2010 with Sam and Max: The Devil’s Playhouse. They may be making a return through VR next year, but today another experience enters the fray. Sam and Max Save the World Remastered is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC, letting fans re-experience one of the most beloved classics in the series. You can find the game’s main trailer showcasing all the new features below.

Sam and Max Save the World Remastered has you working alongside the titular duo to solve a mind-control mystery. In a world where animals are detectives, truly anything is possible. Throughout each episode, they solve a case and discover more regarding this mind-control conspiracy that could truly devastate the world. Will they be able to put an end to this madness? Given that this is a classic Telltale Games experience, you’ll have to play through it to find out.

If you’re a fan looking for improvements though, Sam and Max Save the World Remastered has just that. The fully refreshed title sports highly-refined graphics and sound, along with dynamic lighting and lip-sync which have become the standard in today’s world. You can even expect some of the smaller things in life like widescreen and gamepad support, five new songs, and many tweaks. All of this makes Sam and Max Save the World Remastered feel like a true remaster, one that does justice to the original game.

I haven’t played Sam and Max myself, but I might have to try out this remaster. I’m a big fan of Telltale’s ventures, so I have no doubts I’d enjoy it. I want to hear your thoughts though. Will you be playing this remaster? Any other Sam and Max titles you’ve played in the past, or would this be your first? Let me know in the comments below!

Sam and Max Save the World Remastered is available on PC and Nintendo Switch. You can also get the game at 50% off if you already own the base game on Steam.
