Hold them accountable

Crystal Lara doesn’t play! The California wife and mother recently posted a video where she called out a man for his racism. She claims that while in San Diego with her husband and son, the man yelled that ICE should be called. She wasted no time and defended her family, filming the exchange. Crystal, who goes by the handle @crystalsophisticated on her TikTok channel, approaches the man with her camera. He’s caught off guard as she narrates, “This half-dead man just told my active duty husband that they need ICE in San Diego, and he would be happy when they come and get him!” She points to said husband, who stands in the background as she addresses the insults.

Though the racist remarks happened before Crystal’s reactive recording, the man who reportedly made them visibly wears his embarrassment. He also makes no effort to deny what she says he has done. Instead, he tries to backtrack, with a “Thank you for your service!” as he walks away.

Not So Fast

Crystal isn’t ready to let him off that easily. She continues to record as she follows him into a nearby San Diego convenience store. Her commentary escalates and catches the attention of customers inside. She uses many insults and quickly turns the tables on the shamefaced culprit. In her heated rebuttal, she calls him a “half dead ***hole” and says he needs to “just finish the ***king job!”

His tail between his legs, the senior replies with “Okay,” and pours all his attention into his phone while he texts. The video ends with a close-up of a California license plate on a blue Toyota Tacoma.

The video clip was posted on August 14th and amassed over a thousand responses. One user googled the business on the offender’s sweatshirt and gave out the email address. Another wrote, “Thanking me for my service as if he didn’t just tell me I don’t belong in this country!”

If anything’s certain, the man will remember this moment the rest of his life. Hopefully, next time, he swallows his hatred and goes about his day.
