Sarah Michelle Gellar’s McDonald’s suing was not at an age when she knew any better—she was only five, but the actress felt the heat following her commercial for the enterprise. Sarah became a staple in the film industry following her role as Buffy Summers in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Even after the seven seasons of its run, fans continued to reference her for her breakthrough role. While celebrating the series’ 20th anniversary, she revealed:
“People love to remind me that it [has been] 20 years.I love that people still reference it — but I don’t need the actual date and passage of time so people realize how old I am.”
Concerning a possible reboot of the famous series, she shut down the rumors, explaining that they already wrapped.
But what many do not know about the actress who has returned to supernatural productions following her filming the “Wolf Pack,” is that she was once involved in a commercial. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s McDonald’s commercial was filmed when she was only 5, and what should have left her with an exciting experience gave her a never-forgetting moment.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s McDonald’s Suing as a 5-year-old
Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s McDonald’s suing at age 5 occurred when she worked on a Burger King commercial. While reminiscing her career with Buzzfeed UK, she claimed:
“I was the first person to say another competitor’s name in a job, and so McDonald’s turned around and sued the advertising agency, Burger King, and me at 5.”
Sarah Michelle Gellar’s McDonald’s suing affected part of her lifestyle as a child. In a 2004 interview with Sunday Express, she maintained she could not eat at McDonald’s during the lawsuit.
If her friends held their party at McDonald’s, she was unable to attend, and neither could she have the apple pies shared at the event.
The actress had been excited about having a burger, as she did not have the chance to eat plenty of fast food. So 5-year-old Gellar was allowed to munch on a burger.
During the commercial, before being sued, she realized that the burger was made to look glazed up with seeds on the top— but that was only for TV as she recounted, “You guys, TV is not real.”
