Savannah Chrisley is counting her blessings on Thanksgiving Day despite the turmoil of parents Todd and Julie Chrisleys’s legal woes. The Chrisleys have been in the headlines all year round in connection with Todd and Julie’s conviction and subsequent imprisonment. Days prior, Savannah admitted in an Instagram video that her family planned to spend Thanksgiving the nontraditional way since it would be their first with their parents behind bars. The 26-year-old rang in the holiday with a slideshow of all their best memories as a family wrapped in one video. Savanna Chrisley also included moments spent with her partner Robert Shiver in the slideshow, capturing all her favorite people and moments in one video.
Accompanying the Thanksgiving clip, Savannah Chrisley penned a lengthy message addressing some of the most trying moments of 2023. She also opened up about how her loving support system helped her walk through those tough times, extending her heartfelt gratitude to them.
She began by wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving, acknowledging that not everyone got to spend it with loved ones. Savannah sent out kind words to those who didn’t, reassuring them she could feel their hurt, having spent hers away from her parents Todd and Juley Chrisley. She admitted to missing her parents more than anything else, noting that the “Holiday Grief is REAL.” Savannah Chrisley proceeded to recount one invaluable lesson she learned this year while reminiscing on time spent with her parents last Thanksgiving. She wrote,
“If I have learned anything this year, it’s that life is short. This time last year, I was sitting with my sweet mama and daddy.”
Savannah Celebrates Her Support System
She also remembered her ex-fiance and dear friend Nic Kerdiles who lost his life in September. Taking a page out of her own grieving experience, Savannah encouraged fans to love hard without holding back. Moving past her sadness, the star expressed gratitude to everyone in her slideshow, who has shown up for her and her siblings in some way. She wrote,
“Thank you all for teaching me that friends can be our chosen family. Thank you for showing up for me when I didn’t have the strength to show up for myself. Thank you for helping me with these gorgeous kiddos!”
She acknowledged the contributions of some special individuals, including her grandparents for constantly showing up for her. Savannah Chrisley dedicated the final paragraph of the Thanksgiving post to thanking God for keeping her heart open and blessing her with selfless love. She concluded with an invaluable message to fans, writing,
” If you’re struggling… just know that you can find beauty in the ashes. Keep pushing forward. Keep fighting.”
Savanna Chrisley’s Thanksgiving post comes days after she revealed the appeal court granted their oral argument, which was finally a positive turn in her parents’ case. While the outcome of the exercise remains uncertain, Savannah believed it brought them one step closer to getting their parents home.
