Fans of the Daredevil series were pleasantly surprised when Marvel announced a new series for Disney+. Insider reports that Daredevil: Born Again will welcome back Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, will have 18 episodes and will hit Disney+ in 2024. Fans have been hoping for this announcement since Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home and when D’Onofrio appeared as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. While we’ve known since May that a new series was coming, neither of the actors was confirmed to return. Their involvement has now been made official, and fans of the show that originally aired on Netflix have more Daredevil to look forward to.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Series is Part of MCU Phase Five

Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will end this year with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Daredevil: Born Again will be part of Phase Five, as will Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Secret Invasion, The Marvels, and other titles. It is also the second Disney+ series to feature Cox as Daredevil. He will be voicing the character in the animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year, a prequel to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man films in which Peter Parker enters his first year of high school.

While Cox and D’Onofrio are confirmed to reprise their roles in Daredevil: Born Again, no other actors have been confirmed. Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica from True Blood) has expressed interest in reprising her role as Karen Page, but time will tell if Marvel or Disney plans to give the actress a call.

While details of the series remain unknown, what is known is that die-hard fans of the original series will flock to their computer screens when the series Daredevil: Born Again is released on Disney+ in 2024.
