Sabotage Studio is getting ready for the release of its upcoming Sea of Stars game, and to celebrate, the developers have unveiled its launch trailer. While we’ve already seen a few things about the game and played the demo, there are more things to analyze in this short trailer that’ll surely hype many fans of the role-playing game genre. With the title’s launch on the horizon, it is great to see more details about the game, which seems to be the perfect blend of old-school RPG with some modern systems that might attract new and veteran players.

Sea of Stars Showcases New Gameplay Features in Its Launch Trailer

While some of us got the chance to play the demo of the upcoming Sea of Stars game, the launch trailer shows there are many more things we didn’t get to see. From what we can gather from the trailer, there are some fun mechanics like cooking and fishing, and new ones like how characters explore the map. The trailer’s highlight is Seraï, a character who got additional abilities showcased and seems to be able to use portals while in a fight. Still, we’ll have to wait and see how her gameplay is once the game arrives. It’s uncertain if there’ll be more playable characters, but we hope there are because so far, the art style of all party members looks fantastic.

The launch trailer of Sea of Stars has hyped us up more than we already were, as we’ve been waiting for a retro RPG with, hopefully, a fresh take and new features. While 2023 has been filled with other huge games of the genre that are difficult to compete against, it’s always nice to see a smaller studio launching a beautiful-looking game that’ll surely take many RPG fans down memory lane.

Sea of Stars launches on August 29 on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
