As players are more than likely aware of now, the Sea of Thieves team likes to put out monthly updates. These updates are generally smaller in scale, but offer up new ways to play and keep the game fresh every month you log in. It makes it enjoyable to log in and see what’s new in the Pirate Emporium, or to snag some sweet loot from whatever new missions are available. Last month we didn’t get an update, but we got one early this month instead. Sea of Thieves’ latest content update, Vault of the Ancients, is now available on all platforms. You can find the official update video below.
The Gold Hoarders are more concerned following the reintroduction of Captain Flameheart. As such, they’ve begun using the various vaults across the Sea of Thieves as a place to hide their stash. They seem to have lost their keys though, so it’s up to the pirates to go retrieve them. Using various new clues and puzzles, you must venture into the deepest places to find the keys to these vaults. You can bring these keys back to the Gold Hoarders for a good bounty, but what pirate wants to do that? You want sweet loot, and thus you can venture to these vaults to open them for yourself. They’re filled with riches but be cautious, as these vaults don’t stay open forever. Will you become rich, or will your desire for gold get the better of you?
Joining this Sea of Thieves update is a new pet as well, dogs! These adorable puppies venture around your ship, being as adorable as can be and “marking their territory” on your ship. There are also new accessibility options, cosmetics, and more! If you’re interested in the nitty-gritty, you can find the patch notes here. For now, I’d like to hear your thoughts on this update. Will you be venturing into these vaults, or looking to sell the keys for a quick buck? What update is your favorite of all?
