When a superhero movie gets a sequel, you will most likely see a new suit for the returning hero. In some cases, it can be minor tweaks. In other cases, it is a drastic change. Twitter user Christopher Oquendo has taken photos of the currently filming Captain America: New World Order, showing us Anthony Mackie in a costume wildly different from what we saw in Falcon and the Winter Soldier (seen below).
Previously, in the debut of Anthony Mackie owning the shield and moniker of Captain America, he got a comic book-accurate costume. The red, white, and blue shined true that combining the look of Steve Rogers’ hero with new flair and wings. While it got some criticism for the headpiece, particularly around the ears, much of that has been done away this time around. The blurry image shows a mostly blue costume with some red, white, and a golden logo on the center of his chest. It looks like he has some version of his goggles during his time as Falcon with no visible wings, which will likely be done in post-production as CGI.

Between the set photos and a video, we see WWE wrestler Seth Rollins as an unnamed villain. Based on his costume and bleach-blond hair, the theory is that he is a member of the Serpent Society. Nothing has been confirmed about what his role will be specifically, as we currently have no details on the plot of the film.
Filming began in March in Atlanta, Georgie. It is a hotspot for MCU movies to film at. While the franchise has gone all over the world, the city is a popular destination for the studio to film large portions of its projects. Blade, Thunderbolts, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos are all set to have their productions mostly or entirely in Atlanta.
The newcomers for the upcoming film will include Tim Blake Nelson and Harrison Ford, who will replace the late William Hurt. We will get to see them and Anthony Mackie in his new Captain America costume on the big screen on May 4, 2024.
