Selena Gomez shocked fans with her recent weight loss at this year’s SAG Awards, rocking up to the event in a stunning classy dress teamed with strappy heels. The singer, 32, turned heads on the red carpet last weekend, modeling an off-the-shoulder Celine gown in navy while drawing the eye to her slimmed-down figure.
Arriving at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, Selena dazzled as she channeled old-school Hollywood glam, wearing a navy gown in rich silk with a fold-down chest detail adding some structure. Fan talk of late has included the Rare Beauty founder’s engagement to fiance Benny Blanco and her upcoming album, but also her weight loss. While some have speculated Ozempic use, it’s reported that Selena has dropped a few pounds on account of the medication she takes to manage her Lupus condition.

Looking a million dollars in a floor-length dress with a slight leg slit, Selena flashed her curvy figure, although fans were likely noticing that she was looking a little less curvy than usual.
The singer, who made January 2024 headlines for confirming that the medication she takes for her Lupus can affect her weight, modeled a short-sleeved, form-fitting gown, one boasting a cinched waist and V-shaped neckline. Displaying her slender waistline and shapely shoulders, the “Wolves” hitmaker added silver and diamond rings and earrings, keeping glam with a flawless red manicure as she wore her hair in an elegant long bob with a center parting.
Rocking a bold red lip alongside a matte face of makeup, Selena stunned the cameras in her chic look, one she completed with navy heels with an ankle strap.
Weight Loss Due To ‘Medical’ Reasons
In a recent report by The Daily Mail, Selena has SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth). This, alongside her Lupus medication, can make her gain or lose weight.
“This makes me sick. I have SEBO in my small intestine. It flares up. I don’t care that I don’t look like a stick figure. I don’t have that body. End of story. No I am NOT a victim. I’m just human,” she said on TikTok in November of last year. Selena spent much of 2024 rocking a curvier figure, although fans did start to notice her weight loss at the end of the year.
