Everyone remembers the instant classic that was the latest Super Bowl halftime show. Kendrick Lamar showed up, and Serena Williams was even dancing on stage. However, Williams made one thing very clear, and that was that she is actively avoiding Taylor Swift. Williams allegedly wanted to see the singer at first. However, there was apparently one “specific reason” the tennis star stayed away. Although, that was a rough night for all Kansas City Chiefs fans, including Taylor herself.
According to Life and Style Magazine, Serena Williams was planning on bringing her daughter to meet Taylor Swift up in her suite during the game. However, things changed after the Kansas City Chiefs and Taylor’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, began to lose. Williams understands that it can be very frustrating when somebody’s favorite team takes a loss. However, it is slightly more personal for Swift due to Kelce being on the team. This led to Serena deciding not to go up and bother Taylor, especially since the Chiefs would go on to lose that game in a pretty embarrassing fashion. However, Serena also admitted to almost going into full-on mom mode and pushing her way through so her daughter could meet Taylor Swift.

Serena Williams and Taylor Swift Are Not at Odds After Super Bowl Situation
Super Bowl Sunday was a rough night for Swift, just in general, as when Taylor arrived for the game, she was met with waves of boos and yells from the crowd. That wasn’t the end of it, though, as later on, the singer would be shown on the Jumbotron. That went about as expected as even more boos and mean remarks came flying down from the stands. Serena Williams even wants to know why anyone would boo Taylor. “That’s so mean,” said Williams. Serena then took to social media after the game to tell Swift to keep her head up.
Serena Williams has stated that she does not hold Taylor Swift’s game-time feelings against her. Williams understands that it was a stressful situation, and Taylor most likely handled it as well as anyone else would have. The world of sports can be a slippery slope. Outside noise, as well as normal highs and lows, can be stressful in many ways. Despite the fact that Serena’s daughter has not gotten to meet Taylor yet, Swift will most likely make it up to her. The singer seems to make a point to brighten the days of any children she can. Whether she is on or off the stage. Fortunately, it looks like there’s no actual bad blood between these two extremely talented women.
