If you’re looking for game series that allows you to run and gun while feeling insanely cool, there are likely two main ones you’re thinking of. DOOM, and Serious Sam. DOOM recently had its highly acclaimed sequel DOOM Eternal, but Serious Sam is now looking to make its next step. Devolver Digital and Croteam have announced today that their upcoming game Serious Sam 4 has its eyes set on an August release. To celebrate the announcement, the team created several gameplay videos as part of a Serious Sam Steam Summer Event. You can watch one of the videos below.

Serious Sam 4 - Serious Battles

Serious Sam 4 follows the iconic Sam “Serious” Stone on a prequel to defend Earth. Mental’s horde has their eyes set on civilization, and there’s only one man out there who can put a stop to the horde. That man is Sam, and the only thing stopping him is the bullets left in his gun. Speaking of guns, Sam isn’t going without some new toys to play with. Everything’s been brought into the new game beautifully and feels as good as ever, but there’s also the new auto shotgun. There’s a lot of new toys for Sam to get his hands-on. We hope you’re as excited as we are for Serious Sam 4’s release this August.

This new deep dive into Serious Sam 4 isn’t the only part of the Steam event. There’s also a ton of sales going on for several Serious Sam titles with some being complete steals. You can find the various deals and additional videos here. If we can make a suggestion, Serious Sam 3 is incredibly enjoyable and is only a few bucks right now. That’s an amazing offer for a game that’ll give you hours of fun and laughs along the way. It has co-op functionality too, so bring along a friend for the carnage.

Serious Sam 4

We hope you find something you enjoy in the Steam event and hope to see you out there slaughtering your foes. Serious Sam 4 releases on PC and Stadia this August. What do you think of the Serious Sam series? Are you excited about Serious Sam 4? Let us know, and stay tuned at The Nerd Stash for all your news, reviews, and more!
