Yu Suzuki was on stage at The PC Gaming Show portion of E3 to reveal new details on the upcoming Shenmue III. The most important thing revealed today is that the game will be an Epic Store exclusive on PC. This move is sure to upset a number of Shenmue III‘s Kickstarter backers who believed the game would be released on Steam. Time will tell if this move hurts the sales of the game. “Shenmue III for PC will be an Epic Games Store exclusive. Development for Shenmue III has been moving forward using Unreal Engine and the support we have received from Epic has been excellent. But most importantly, in looking for the most enjoyable experience on PC, it was decided together with Deep Silver after much discussion that the Epic Games Store would be the best distribution platform option.” – Ys Net
